Bulletproof: the kink or trope that you like so much that you'll read it regardless of petty things like ship or fandom.
Bulletproof exchange is a discord based exchange that you're only guaranteed to get a fic for the tropes of your heart. As I have very slowly read through the fics, I make a themed femslash rec list. They are so good that I read them regardless of my lack of canon knowledge. Dark like chocolate, or angst like fine wine:
hold you close and hear you cry by liesmyth (The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir, Coronabeth/Ianthe, Coronabeth/Ianthe/OFC)
Trope: Codependent dysfunctional nobility sibling incest, Siblings in a Threesome With a Third Party, Improper use of flesh magic (Locked Tomb style)
Summary:
On Ida, the brightest jewel in the Emperor’s crown, a certain level of debauchery was expected—nay, it was encouraged. The Third House was a place of overwrought drama and grotesque wonders, of excess and gluttony and thoroughly bad taste; the Emperor’s greedy mouth, hungry and wide open. They knew how to throw a party, and they knew how to make it live on in infamy. And, when the lights were out, it was only natural to expect a little freakishness between the sheets.
Or: the Princesses of Ida do everything together.
so savage with red desperation by liesmyth (The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir, Coronabeth/Ianthe)
Trope: consensual cannibalism, Codependency
Summary:
Ianthe’s hand was still on her face. “Oh, baby, I won’t leave you. You’re mine.”
You are mine, Corona thought fiercely. She opened her mouth and bit on her sister’s finger, hard.
Clear as a Crystal, Sharp as a Knife by RussetFiredrake (Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, Narrator/Rebecca)
Trope: Ambiguous/Open Ending, Is It All A Dream?, ego death, Lesbian oral sex
Summary: A young woman marries a widower and moves into his home in the country. But is his wife as dead as she seems?
the art and science of avoiding loneliness by Ericine (Star Trek: Picard, Raffi Musiker/Seven of Nine)
Trope: Mecha AU, Porn with feeling
Summary: “It’s not the kind of thing that’s supposed to happen to a hero, not a washed up disgrace and her nearly-decommissioned partner.“ AU where Seven’s a Mecha and Raffi’s her pilot. And they fall in love.
Shadow of the Evening by RussetFiredrake (The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien, Arwen Undómiel/Éowyn)
Trope: Bad future, loyalty kink, let me be your sword
Summary:
Sauron's defeat did not end evil in Middle Earth; it only ended his reign in Mordor. With Aragorn and Faramir both dead in the War of the Ring, Arwen has taken up the crown in Gondor. A gentle woman still at times requires a sword, however, and she has found one in Éowyn of Rohan, ever willing to put her own life in danger.
