I signed up for fannish 50 so that I will be more committed to post Due South episode review.

Plot Summary: When Internal Affairs thinks there are dirty cops in the department and want to grill Ray, Welsh worries about Ray's cover being blown and not being able to find him. Meanwhile Fraser, sent on the hunt for Ray, joins Ray in wait for a criminal who made Ray the man he became.

- Opening: The music of Due South is very good. Ray K has a tattoo on his arm. The big luggage he's packing is very mysterious

- Watching the show now, it's harder to automatically assume that Welsh's cops are good and clean. It's uncomfortable to watch Huey get manhandled by the IA

Fraser: No, the locals favour something called "Twister".

I am not sure how much is Fraser being earnest and weird, and how much is him trolling.

Landlady. There y'are, yeah. Huh. And he's real light on his feet. I can get hypnotised and just sit there for an hour easy.

It's really a nice thing to say.

- Ray K's conversation with the Caretaker is amusing.

- The remastered version is really good, though it's too dark at times when Ray is in the crypt

- is Fraser teasing Ray K when he insists that he is Ray V?

- Ray K should really wear his glasses. He looks good with them too.

- I like how the set of prisoners have dialogue that give them depth. The spider shooting sadist old lady Gladys is awesome too. I love when the prisoner casually said he sonetimes went in drag too.

- I can't think of a platonic reason why Ray K has to insist on asking whether Fraser thinks of him as attractive, and only wants his answer.

- I like Ray K's backstory. Very relatable and not your typical hero origin story, but I can see why it gives him impostor syndrome.

- When the IA said to Welsh, "You pushed me aside every chance you got and when that wasn't enough you put my brother in jail.", I thought his wordings were weirdly charged.

- Ray looks so relaxed when the dreamcatcher flies, and it does catch his nightmare.

- I think the situation with the IA is solved too easy. What's the real story behind the 10 kg vs 1 kg drug? It does show that the group at 27th is steadfast.

Ellery: Hey, kid. I've robbed a lot of banks, and I've spent a lot of time in jail. I don't have much of a memory about anything.

. This reninds me of the line in Street Fighter film : "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day in your life, but for me? It was Tuesday."

= Ray K is as much a headstrong rebel as Fraser, willing to throw a decade long career aside to stake out for his nemesis. Despite saying that he never wants to be a cop, Ray K is very quick to take action in the cemetery. He doesn't make fun of Fraser when Fraser talked about the ideale of being a cop. He looks sad when he says that Fraser is lucky.

- Early in the episode, Fraser seems to insists on treating Ray K as Ray V: holding a public party on Ray V's birthday, giving Ray V's gift to Ray K, etc. (I am sure that Ray V would be touched by the effort put in it.). Later, he cites Ray K's own citation when comforting him. Ray K is dealing with imposter syndrome in this episode, but Fraser probably has to deal with his own baggage to accept Ray K on his own merit too.
