Fannish 50: Due South 3X06:Bounty Hunter

Episode Summary: While the police force is on strike, Fraser and Kowalski help a bounty hunter find a bail jumper from Montana.

- The opening music is creepy. I almost thought it was a horror story.

- It's rare for me to see a police labour strike on screen. The moment every gun is aimed at Janet is intense.

- The kids are very realistic and remind me why I don't want any kids.

- Ray bargains down the deal to help Fraser.

- Fraser really likes her and they have good chemistry. They also have shared backgrounds. He is ignoring rules for her.

- Fraser's father continues to be a hypocrite after death.

- It's interesting how Fraser adds that the deadbeat husband is doing it for family or kids. I suspect it's more projection. (the husband is very quick to get a new girlfriend)

- So Janet withholds the fact that she's married from Fraser. I can't decide whether she does it because she is lonely, she wants to secure Fraser's help or a mix of both.

- Ray tries to comfort Fraser at the end. It's quite sweet.

I always felt like the Bounty Hunter woman shamelessly uses Fraser in this one. Then again, if I had three brats like that, I might be desperate enough to use someone nice like Fraser, too.

I thought it was funny how Ray had no idea how to handle the kids, but Fraser did.

And, yes, I love how Ray tries to comfort his friend, too. By now we see that they're really bonding well as not just partners, but friends, too.

That's an interesting point about Fraser possibly having experience with babysitting because of his experiences in a rural community. We're not really given a lot of background about that, but I like that thought.
